Merry Christmas from MGA
MGA would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a magical New Year!
We had a wonderful night on Monday at the Usher Hall, with over 200 students from both Full-time and Junior Schools bringing in enough Christmas cheer to keep us going through the holidays.
Professional standard performance opportunities are what The MGA Academy of Performing Arts is all about. Treating our students like professional performers means that by the time they graduate they are ready for anything.
Creating a production to showcase individual talents while working with professional musical directors, choreographers and directors is one way we do this. And discovering the teamwork and team-spirit that only comes from such large-scale ensemble work is also a training opportunity in itself!
Putting our students onstage in front of an audience of around 2,000 people in one of Scotland’s most outstanding performance spaces is yet another way we ensure our students are best prepared for a job in the limelight.
AND by doing the entire thing for charity, supporting young people from low-income backgrounds with dreams of training in Performing Arts, our students also keep their feet firmly on the ground throughout the whole process. If you weren’t able to make it on Monday you can still contribute towards the newly-launched MGA Foundation at the website – there are lots of ways to donate, get involved, and support this new charitable foundation set up by our MGA directors Andrew and Murray. Sign up to the mailing list over there to keep up with news and developments.
Have a fabulous holiday, see you on the other side…
